The science of Mudras and Colour Therapy: 03.5 ►Vayu Mudra (Gastric control posture)

This Mudra decreases Vayu element in the body and balance it. This helps in curing all ailments related to the Vayu element.

Procedure: Place the tip of the Index finger at the base of the Thumb) Apply slight pressure with the Thumb and keep other three fingers simply straight.

TimeLimit: This Mudra should be practiced for 45 minutes when facing severe problems of Vayu and will get benefited within 12 to 24 hours. In case of acute problems, one should practice it daily from 15 to 45 minutes and will get relief slowly. Practice of Mudra should be discontinued after getting cure from the disease.

One can also follow this Mudra with the Pran Mudra to get faster benefits.

Benefits:

  1. This Mudra helps in curing various Vayu related diseases i.e. Joint Pain, Goutier, Sciatica, Paralytic, Shivering of hands or head, Gas, Acidity. All these diseases can be cured without taking medicine and by practicing this Mudra continuously.

  2. This Mudra helps in curing diseases like Cervical, Spondylitis, stiffness in the neck and crookedness of mouth.

  3. Vaat Nadi in between Manbandh of both the hands gets locked while practicing Vayu Mudra. After this if we move both the wrists in left and right direction, we will get cracking noise and if there is any Vayu related pain in the neck, it will be cured. If pain is in the left side of neck then we should move right hand wrist and if the pain is in right side of neck then we should move left hand wrist. If the pain is in both the side of the neck then we should move both hand wrists in left and right direction.

  4. With practice of this Mudra we can get benefited in the knee pain.

  5. It improves concentration in the person.

  6. In case of getting gastric trouble, uneasiness or heaviness in the stomach after consuming food, then person should immediately sit in Vajraasan and adopt his mudra to get relief.

Caution: We should discontinue practice of this Mudra after getting cured by the disease.
