Miracle Of Faith: 28 ►Faith changes the evil

Published: 27.12.2019

Navaratanmalji was a faithful devotee of Rajaldesar and his wife also had deep faith in Swamiji. One day suddenly she felt that she had lost her appetite. She felt weak and nervous. She consulted the doctors. Her husband had a good knowledge of Ayurveda. He tried his best to treat her but her condition continued to decline.

Once when Mrs. Baid was sleeping, she heard a voice addressing her, “Leave the religion, forget Swamiji and Acharya Tulsi and you will be healthy.”

Having heard this voice she began to tremble with fear. She questioned, “Who are you? Why are you telling all this? Will I die now?” All these questions made her tense and she told her husband about this conversation. Navaratanmalji said, “Each and every one has come alone in the world and will have to go alone. Neither her husband nor her children will accompany her to heaven or hell. It is the religion which makes a man pure and this purity stays with her. So, whatever the people say never leaves the religion nor forget the name of Swamiji and Acharya Tulsi.” She was very much inspired by these words and addressed her family members, “Today it seems that something unusual may happen to me, so everybody should stay alert. Don’t try to give me any medicines because I have accepted the fast till the sun rises.” Saying these words she became unconscious. Each member of the family was worried, except Navaratanmalji, because of his great faith in Swamiji. He started chanting the Mantra, ‘Om Bhikshu’. Sitting by her bed, he also suggested the visitors to do the same and decided not to consult any doctor.

Navaratanmalji’s father got angry and scolded him, “Do you want to kill her? Why don’t you send for the doctor?”

Consoling his father he replied, “she has observed fast only till sunrise, so why should we force her? Nobody can change her fate. Then why should we call for the doctor? In this situation our duty is to encourage her religious faith.”

At 4 p. m., suddenly she became conscious and opened her eyes. She spelled out, “Someone is telling me to listen to him otherwise see what will happen at 12 p. m.” Saying this, she fell unconscious.

The Japa continued. All were scared about what would happen at night. Everybody completed their routine work and did the Japa. But Navaratamnalji did not break the Japa and he thought to himself that he had blessings of Swamiji. No evil spirit can enter divine armour.

Sharp at 12 o’clock, Mrs. Baid suddenly opened her eyes and spoke, “somebody just now told me to leave the religion, to forget Swamiji and Acharya Tulsi and also to get down from this bed so that he may kill me.”
