Published: 08.01.2020

Jhamakulalji Manotli from Ratlam had a son named Anandilalji. His mother was a very religious woman. Once Anandilalji went to Kashmir with his family. His mother also accompanied him. She had deep faith in Swamiji. Before beginning any work she used to recall the name Of Swamiji irrespective of travelling, sickness or any other urgent work. She would not drink even a drop of water without the Japa of Swamiji.

In Srinagar, they stayed in a two-storey houseboat on Dal Lake. One night, there was no electricity in the boat. Everybody slept early as they were tired. Around two o’clock in the night someone shouted from the first floor, “Vacate the boat, it may sink anytime.” Everybody got up at once. When they went down, they saw that the first floor was full of water. Everyone wanted to get out as soon as possible, so they took their luggage and rushed out.

Even in this situation his mother continued the Japa. When she came out from the boat, she found that a kid and one suitcase containing Rs. 32,000 were left in the boat. The boat was about to sink. Remembering Swamiji she worried as to who will save the kid. Within a few minutes, there came a swimmer. Everyone felt as if someone had sent the help in the form of an expert swimmer for their rescue. He went into the boat and rescued the kid and the suitcase. Everything happened in such a manner that whoever saw the scene said that some divine power had helped them. Otherwise, the sinking of the boat in the night could not be imagined without any tragic event.

The suitcase was wet but the money was safe. The child was alone and fast asleep. Where there is mantra there is safety.
