3.THE PARLIAMENT OF THE WORLD'S RELIGIONS (PWR)
The Parliament of the World's Religions(PWR)supports declaration by the “Pontifical Academy of Sciences” this month in Vatican City on Climate Change and Health. The Parliament of the World's Religions (PWR) and its “Climate Action Task Force” expresses an emphatic appreciation by stating it a “significant and substantive” declaration on climate change and health.

The declaration ‘Our Planet, Our Health, Our Responsibility’ was developed out of data and concepts presented at a workshop “Health of People, Health of Planet and Our Responsibility, Climate Change, Air Pollution and Health” Organized by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences during its three-day meeting.
With unchecked climate change and air pollution, the very fabric of life on Earth, including that of humans, is at grave risk. The scalable solutions to avoid such catastrophic changes were proposed. The time to act is now.

We human beings are creating a new and dangerous phase of Earth’s history. We are dangerously warming the planet, leaving behind the climate in which civilization developed. With accelerating climate change, we put ourselves at grave risk of massive crop failures, new and re-emerging infectious diseases, heat extremes, droughts, mega-storms, floods and sharply rising sea levels. The economic activities that contribute to global warming are also wreaking other profound damages, including air and water pollution, deforestation, and massive land degradation, causing a rate of species extinction unprecedented for the past 65 million years, and a dire threat to human health through increases in heart disease, stroke, pulmonary disease, mental health, infections and cancer. Climate change threatens to exacerbate the current unprecedented flow of displacement of people and add to human misery by stoking violence and conflict.

The poorest of the planet that are still relying on 19th century technologies to meet basic needs such as cooking and heating, are bearing a heavy brunt of the damages caused by the economic activities of the rich. The rich too are bearing heavy costs of increased flooding, mega-storms, heat extremes, droughts and major forest fires. The climate change and air pollution strikes down the rich and poor alike.

Story #27: Chakkeshwari Devi

We descend to a passage that feels like a palace. The first thing you see is the shrine of Chakeshwari Devi who serves Adinath. The mirror reflection is worth seeing. In the reflection, the Devi seems alive.

It is said that Chakeshwari Devi appeared in Javad Shah’s dream and helped him find the Takshshila marble to build the main Adinath idol.

As you continue, you come to the shrines of Vagheshwari Devi and Padmawati Devi.

6. JAIN STORY
Pratikramanopari
Jineshwar Lords have taken five types of Pratikraman into account for the human wellbeing. The devotees should observe it with respect. We should stop sinful actions and start noble deeds. That is the real Pratikraman. Thus has been the Pratikraman interpreted by the wise. Right from the ancient period Sansar Pratikraman has been divided into four types
  1. Mithyatva Pratikraman
  2. Asamyam Pratikraman
  3. Kashay Pratikraman
  4. Aprashasta Pratikraman
Returning from Parbhav to Swabhav is defined as Pratikraman. If the same type of sinro included it is called Bhav Pratikraman. Those who conduct Bhav Pratikraman every day become happy in this life and the future lives.
