A kind of Jñānācāra (conduct qua knowledge);

not to conceal the name and the erudition of one's Vācanācārya (the Ācārya (preceptor) who teaches scriptures) out of egotism.

yato'nihnavenaiva pāṭhādi sūtrādervidheyaṃ na punarmānādivasataḥ ātmano lāghavādyāśankayā śrutagurūṇāṃ śrutasya vā'palāpeneti.
