The first session in the joint series between Oshwal North and Shri Chandana Vidyapeeth Jain School on 'The Pillars of Jain Religion' was extremely well received by the fifty or so attendees of all ages. The session raised fundamental questions such as what is the purpose of our life, whether nurturing spirituality in our daily lives is important, what we understand to be religion and the rational nature of Jainism which calls for sustained awareness, intellectual analysis, disciplined thinking and behaviour.
The interactive session was delivered by Sandip Shah, highly experienced teacher with Shri Chandana Vidyapeeth who brought the topic to life through examples, putting things into perspective and questioning the participants view points.
This week on Wednesday 30 April, following a recap, Sandipbhai will continue to explore the relevance of Ahimsa (non-violence) in our busy daily lives in the 21st century.
The participants are already looking forward to the next session - come and join us!
