An Erudite Scholar

Venerable Acharya Tulsi symbolizes the ancient Indian tradition of rishis, sages and saints. His shining character and his dispassionate attitude to work inspire thousands of people to live a virtuous life. His holy life has been dedicated to asceticism, studying scriptures and observing vows since his very childhood. I consider him a great saint. He is an erudite scholar of Sanskrit, Pali and Prakrit. He is a philosopher par excellence. His discourses testify to his being a great seer. His words clearly show the profundity of wisdom. His body, mind and heart are all purified by sadhana.

We Bow our Heads to Tulsi in Salutation

In an age threatened by a nuclear holocaust Anuvrat alone is man's refuge. Without his faith in vows, his uncontrollable power is doomed to disaster. In the pitch dark caused by the selfish interest of organized groups, Anuvrat radiates a ray of light. A time will come when the great celestial flame will descend on the house of an Anuvrati alone. This hymn in praise of the glory of Anuvrat is in truth bowing our heads to Tulsi in salutation. Paying homage to Anuvrat means bowing our heads in reverence to awakened India.
