Some people are straightforward.
They are honest in their reporting of events.

Some people are very clever in being secretive.
To be secretive means many things:
One implication is: Shyness or to be inhibited.

Second implication is: deception or misguiding.

Third implication is: to safeguard secret facts.

Fourth implication is: not to worry others.

Deception is not desirable.

Behind the act of safeguarding secrets, there should be discrimination.
Secrets may be kept as long as by doing so one does not intensify a problem.
