Muni Lokprakash Expelled From The Sangh

On 28th October 2005, Muni Lokprakash went away without permission. Therefore, Acharyashree has expelled him from Terapanth Dharam Sangh. Terapanth Dharam Sangh is an orderly and discipline based organisation. The founder Acharya Bikshu and all subsequent Acharyas had laid great emphasis on order and discipline. Whenever any member of the order lacked in this respect, efforts have been taken to rectify him or her, when the faults have been accepted. He or she can be purified by remedial action and continue as monk or nun.

This year, the mistakes committed by Muni Lokprakash came to the knowledge of Acharyashree during his four months stay in Delhi. The complaints were related to money, laxity in monkhood, and Lokprakash’s character. They were confirmed by investigation of the Sangh. According to Terapanth rules, when somebody does not accept the faults, penance to purify the person is not awarded, but disciplinary action can be taken. As Muni Lokprakash did not accept the faults, the public relation work had been withdrawn from him. Due to this, Lokprakash left the Sangh on his own.

There is no relation with persons out of the Sangh, according to the traditional rules of Terapanth Dharma Sangh.

The following information published in Vigyapti, the weekly bulletin from the place where Acharyashree resides, was rendered into English language for us:

Lokprakash had written the book ‘The unborn curse’. He tried hard for publicity and due to his relations with politicians, he had succeeded in his mission. Swami Agnivesh is also a politician, so he got in touch with him. A yatra (march on special subject) for from Gujarat, the birthplace of Swami Dayananda to Amritsa, Punjab was planned about 3 months ago.

Lokprakash had taken part in that planning. Before he left, some persons came to me and asked about the reception of the party in Adhyatma Sadhana Kendra. I told them that there is no such programme in our menu.

Then Lokprakash told them that it has been arranged at some other place. Please note that Swami Agnivesh is also not in high regards at Arya Samaj, the religious order established by Swami Dayananda. This has come to our notice, when the Yatra reached the place where Dayananda died; Swami was not allowed to enter that place.

Lokprakash had the authority to finalise different programmes. To eliminate the practice of killing feticide is also the programme of Anuvrat.

This was not the reason of his expulsion.
