बिना लिए देना स्तेय (चोरी) है।

07.10

English: Taking what is not given is stealing.

This sutra defines stealing as taking what is not given. It means that getting or picking up anything, even īf it is trifling, without being offered by the owner amounts to stealing. In other words, whoever appropriates to himself something, which is not offered by the legitimate owner, is guilty of misappropriation.
