Published: 01.01.2020

Sadhvi Mohanaji (Taranagar) was travelling along with her group towards Jaipur. On the way they passed through a village, but they could not find a place to stay. At last, a person suggested them to stay in a haunted house. Though they did not want to stay there but they were helpless. As the sun was about to set, they had to stay in that house. One of the nuns said, “This place seems evil, so we should pass our time in chanting the Mantra.” Everybody appreciated this idea and very soon they were all engrossed in chanting the Mantra and doing meditation.

The nuns kept on chanting the Mantra till 9 o’clock and recited the religious songs with full devotion. Then they planned that one of them should continue reciting the Mantra, while others may sleep. The house was in total darkness due to lack of electricity and the lamp was also blown away. The nuns closed their room and only the kasida (guide) remained outside. Suddenly a light appeared in the room accompanied by a noise of ‘chham-chham’ as if someone was there. All the nuns woke up and started chanting the Mantra of ‘Om Bhikshu.’ For about two hours the light and the noise continued, but no one could be seen. The nuns uttered the Mantra with full devotion. After two hours, the light disappeared and no sound could be heard any more. It grew darker but it was the magical power of the Mantra that helped the nuns to spend their night calmly and the next day they started for their destination.

Lisp was cured

Saroj was the grand-daughter of Punamchandji Sethia of Sardarshahar. Her father late Sohanlal Sethia was a devoted man and an extempore poet. Saroj was influenced by such religious atmosphere. Once when she was eight years old, she was cleaning utensils on the fourth floor of the building. After cleaning them, she went to throw the waste water. While throwing the water, the utensil slipped out of her grip. She bent down to pick the utensil but lost her balance and fell down on the road. The road was under construction and so it was covered with sharp stones.

When she fell down, she was only chanting the name of ‘Lord Bhikshu.’ After falling, she neither cried nor screamed. Some people were standing by the road- side. They picked her immediately and laid her down on a wooden plank. That time Saroj’s mother was not at home, but she was called for. Hearing about Saroj, her mother got worried. But when she came near Saroj, she saw her reciting the Mantra of ‘Om Bhikshu.’

Saroj’s body was badly bruised and her mother was scared, but the doctor reported that there was nothing to be worried about. She became alright within ten days without any intensive treatment. To everyone’s, surprise Saroj was now blessed with a new life. Her defect in speech and legs were both cured. It was the miraculous heal of the mantra that transformed her life.
