Sadhvi Rupanji (Sardarshahar) along with her group was travelling in Saurastra. During her journey she came across a village named Halvasiya where fifteen hundred houses belonged to Brahmins. It is known that Brahmins of this place were great scholars of Sanskrit. While going somewhere, the nuns met a Pandit, Manishankar, who had a good command over the Sanskrit language. He asked in Sanskrit “What is your name? Whose disciples are you?” She replied in Sanskrit. After getting the answer in Sanskrit, Panditji said, “Tomorrow, I would like to havea discussion with you. Where are you staying?”

The nuns said, “We are staying in an inn.” Saying these nuns left for their destination. After meeting with the people of that place they came to know that Pandit Manishankarji was a renowned scholar of Sanskrit in Saurashtra, who usually talk in Sanskrit. An ordinary person cannot dare to face him. After knowing this fact the nun started thinking, “If he talks in Sanskrit it will be difficult for me. If don’t speak or if there is any linguistic mistake, then he will not get a good impression. What should I do?” She arose from her bed and said, “O Lord Bhikshu, you only can keep my prestige.” With this prayer she started chanting the Mantra and realised a divine power growing within her. She slowly became confident.

On the third day, around fifteen Scholars arrived, bowed and sat near the nun. Mentally she recalled Swamiji and sat down. Scholars started talking in Hindi. After finishing the formal talk they said, “We have not come here for the discussion but we want to listen to your speech. You tell us about Jainism.”

Now the nun’s happiness was boundless. She recited a sweet song which cast a spell on the scholars. When they heard the nun’s speech, they were surprised. It was beyond their imagination that the nuns could speak so fluently about the topic in Hindi. They were overwhelmed and thanked the nuns.

Immediately the news of deep knowledge of the nuns spread all over. The incident affected the atmosphere of the whole city. The nuns realised that whatever success they had achieved was due to the divine power of Acharya Bhikshu.
