JVB London is pleased to offer a comprehensive 12 week course in Introduction to Sanskrit & Jain Prayers (Level 1) commencing Saturday 15th January 2022.

The course will be conducted by Dr. Shweta Jain who has a MA Gold Medal & PhD in Sanskrit.

Over 130 people have done the course from UK, USA, Sweden, Ireland, Kenya, India & Belgium with overwhelming positive feedback. Do not miss the opportunity to enrol for the course!

The medium of teaching will be English and the course is open to all.

All course material and recordings of the lectures will be provided.

There will be 12 online ZOOM sessions every Saturday between 9.45AM - 10.45AM (UK time) / 3.15 PM - 4.15PM (India time) commencing 15 January 2022.

Level 1 Course Details

On-line Bhaktamara Sanskrit & Grammar Course

JVB London is also pleased to offer a comprehensive course in BHAKTAMARA SANSKRIT & GRAMMAR.

There will be:

  • Four introductory on-line videos
    • Basics of Sanskrit
    • Gana / Metre used in composing Bhaktamara
    • Embedded Mantra Power of Bhaktamara
    • Riddhi Mantras associated with Bhaktamara Stotra
  • 24 on-line videos and course notes
    • Explaining detailed word to word meaning for each of the 48 verses of Bhaktamara (each video and course notes will cover 2 verses)
    • Correct pronounciation for each of the verses
    • Sandhis - how Sanskrit words in Bhaktamara are combined
    • Anvaya - how the Bhaktamara words are poetically arranged
The introductory videos are by Dr. Samani Pratibha Pragyaji (PhD from SOAS, UK and a scholar of Jain studies) and the on-line Bhaktamara videos and course notes are by Samani Punya Pragyaji (M.A in Prakrit language and literature and ordained as a Samani with the blessings of Acharya Tulsi in 1993).

The contribution for the course is £100 per person. All funds will go to support JVB London which is a UK registered charity.
