Sanskrit Meaning of Bhaktamara Stotra & In-Depth Grammatical Analysis

JVB London is pleased to offer a course in Sanskrit Meaning and Grammatical Analysis of Bhaktamara Stotra, which is a divine and miraculous panegyric of the Jain faith dedicated to the first tirthankar, Lord Adinath.

The course will be conducted by:
(i) Dr. Samani Pratibha Pragyaji who has a PhD from SOAS, UK & is a scholar of Jain philosophy. She was ordained as a Samani (nun) by His Holiness Acharya Tulsi in 1989.

(ii) Samani Punya Pragyaji who is currently based in Houston, USA. She has a MA in Prakrit language & literature. She also has knowledge of Sanskrit. She is also known for her melodious voice & has composed many spiritual & devotional songs.

(iii) Corinne Smith who is a PhD student at SOAS and has knowledge of Sanskrit & Prakrit.

This is a 24 week course commencing Saturday 5 December 2020.

The timings will suit various time zones:

U.K. 2.00 pm - 3.00 pm
Antwerp 3.00 pm - 4.00 pm
India 7.30 pm - 8.30 pm
New York, USA 9.00 am - 10.00 am
Kenya 5.00 pm - 6.00 pm
Dubai 6.00 pm - 7.00 pm

  • Please note that during certain public / national holidays or weekends additional classes will be scheduled in order to complete the syllabus, as on certain religious festivals regular classes will be postponed.
The medium of teaching will be a combination of Hindi & English.

The course is open to all adults (18 years & above) and from any where in the world.
* A basic knowledge of Sanskrit is prerequisite for this course either by having studied it in school or done courses.
