Ahimsa Day is an annual event at the House of Commons, London, UK, held in October, which celebrates the central Jain tenet of ‘non-violence’. The event, 2008 in its 6th year, attracts MPs, Lords and Ministers who use the day to discuss how current world issues can be considered from an alternative ‘compassionate’ perspective.
