Jain Alert Group Of Michigan Message

Pranam!

Paryushan is a time when the entire Jain Sangh comes together to celebrate, learn, fast and come closer to the true self. However, given its timing, many of our children are not able to partake in any activities because of college. Due to extra restrictions, they often struggle with making or finding food.

This year, the Jain Alert Group of Michigan once again helped our Jain students in the Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor areas follow a proper Jain diet all 8 days. We were able to reach over 40 students and youth and send them Paryushan tiffins. We are very grateful to the Sangh for their support. We would like to give a special thanks to Bhartiben Doshi and the entire Ekasana team for so lovingly providing food for the tiffins as well as Niyati Shah for her tireless efforts in organizing and handling logistics!

This would not have been possible without our numerous volunteers who cooked, packed, organized and delivered the food. We would like to recognize them below. Many of our volunteers worked tirelessly, even while doing Tapasya and without light, to make sure each student received their tiffin. Khub Khub Anumodana to all our volunteers!
