Aṅga

Sanskrit/Prakrit: अङ्ग (aṅga) "limb".

  • The canonical scriptures (Āgamas) of the Śvetāmbara Jains fall into the categories of Aṅgas and Uvaṅgas (Sanskrit: Upāṅga). To every Aṅga a subsidiary Uvaṅga is associated.
