Praṇidhāna

1. The process of concentration of body, speech and mind on a specific object which is auxiliary (for meditation).

'praṇihāne' tti prakarṣeṇa niyate ālambane dhānam—dharanam manahprabhrtereti pranidhānam.

(Bhaga 18.125 Vr)

2. Concentration (of attention).

praṇihitiḥ praṇidhānam—ekāgratā.

(Sthā 3.96 Vr Pa 115)

3. Samādhi (1).

...avadhānasamādhānapraṇidhānāni tu samādhau syuḥ.

(Aci 6.14)

4. Immaculate state of the psyche (soul).
