In this Tap, Jain follower needs to live with Jain Sadhu/Sadhvi. This Tap lasts for 45 days, if you are doing it for the first time, 35 days if for second time and 28 days for the third time. You can start with 18 days tap to be eligible for Navkar mantra recitation. During this Tap, Tapasvis need to have Two Day Fast (Chhath), Fast (Upvas), Half Fast (Ekasanu), Biyasanu or Aayambil. Along with Fast and other things, they have to do some more Kriyas of Jainism eg Two times Pratikaman, Vandana and more. Tapasvis need to wake up by 3:30 AM in the morning and can sleep by 10:00 PM. 99 Yatra of Shatrunjay Giriraj Mahatirth, Palitana Palitana is considered to be an eternal pilgrimage.Thousands and lakhs of souls embraced "Samadhi"- death - Mahanirvana. Of the 24 Tirthanksrs, 22 tithankars enhance the glory of this pilgrimage by blessing it with their touch. Lord Rishabhdev visited this pilgrimage 99 times,which itself is an inspiration for the followers of Jainism to do "Navanu Yatra". With every Yatra day you have to perform Navannu Yatra Vidhi.
