27TH ANNIVERSARY FIXED GEEBOLI CHARTS

This year’s Temple Anniversary celebrations will take place from June 27th to June 29th. This year we will be having Sattar Bhedi puja before the Dhwaja ceremony on 29th. Detailed program information will be sent in the upcoming newsletters.

There will be fixed Gheeboli charts for the 18 Abhisheks (28th) , Dhwaja Ceremony (29th), and Sattar Bhedi Puja (29th). 18 Abhishek & Sattar Bhedi Puja charts will be posted on Saturday, May 24th on the display board.

To ensure fairness and provide an equal opportunity for all members to participate in the Dhwaja ceremony, a volunteer will be present in the office on May 24th 11:00 AM to assist you with the sign-up process. The following guidelines will be followed:

• Each family may sign up for only one Bhagwan's Dhwaja.
• Deepakbhai and Kiranben will not be able to sign anyone up to maintain an equal opportunity for everyone.

DIKSHA GEEBOLI

As you all know, Mumukshu Sunitaben and Mumukshu Rishibhai’s Diksha will take place on June 8th at Shapur Manasmandir. Some of our JSGD members will be attending the event and have expressed interest in contributing towards Gheeboli on behalf of the group.

We understand that not everyone can attend in person, so we’re reaching out to see if others would like to participate by making a pledge for the Diksha event. Based on the total contributions received, we will collectively pledge for the Gheeboli. The exact contribution amount per person will be shared after the event.

JOS PICNIC - DAY AT THE ZOO

Join JOS for a fun-filled day at the Detroit Zoo!

Here's what you need to know:

- Date: Wednesday, May 28, 2025
- Time: 10 am
- Free admission and parking for Tri-county seniors (62+) and one companion
- Enjoy zoo train and tram rides, bingo, music, dance, and social activities
- Corporate sponsor Blue Cross Blue Shield provides free refreshments and health resources

What to bring:

- Lunch and Snacks (we plan to do potluck) and water
- Weather-appropriate clothing and folding chairs
- Plates, cutlery, and napkins (if possible)

Where to meet:

- Picnic tables across from Penguin Conservation station, behind the Aviary in the main picnic grove right behind the entrance.

How to get there:

- Carpool with your friends or drive directly to 8450 W. 10 Mile Road, Royal Oak (look for zoo sign on tall water tower, at the corner of Woodward Ave. and 10 Mile Rd)

GRAND PRATISHTHA MAHOTSAV - JSMW

Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington is having Pratishtha for its two new Shikarbandi temples on May 31 - June 1 2025.

The Shwetambar temple will have Shankheshwar Parshwanath Bhagwan as Moolnayak. Other Tirthankar murties will be of Bhagwan Adinath, Shantinath, Munisuvrat Swami & Neminath in Gabhara, and Shantinath, Chandrapraphu, Mahavir Swami and Simandhar Swami in Rang Mandap.

The Digambar temple will have Adinath Bhagwan as Moolnayak and other murties will be of Parshwanath & Mahavir Swami in Gabhara, and Shantinath, Naminath and standing murties of Bahubali and Bharat. Both temples will also have murties of several Gandhar, Dev, Devi and Guru.
