Published: 27.01.2014

Nearly all important leaders of the major political parties in the country had been greatly impressed by his selfless service and humanitarian attitude. That is why, the philosopher/statesman (Late President of the India) Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, has ranked Acharya Shree Tulsi amongst the fourteen great Indians who were outstanding and shall shine in the galaxy of great men for centuries to come. His book 'Living with a purpose' perfectly concludes with the valuable contribution by Acharya Tulsi for the entire humanity.

In 1962, on the silver jubilee of his bright monkhood, Vice-president Dr. Radhakrishnan presented an Abhinandan Granth to him.

Acharya Shree Tulsi has received awards and general recognition on numerous occasions for his humanitarian work throughout India. On the completion of four year tour of South India, the Terapanth organization greeted him with the title of 'Yugapradhan Acharya' on 2nd February 1971 at Bidasar in Rajasthan.

Paying due respect to Acharya Tulsi, on the successful completion of 50 years of his radiant spiritual guidance and leadership as Acharya, Rajasthan Vidyapitha adorned him with the 'Bharat Jyoti' award on 14th February 1986 in Udaipur. The award was presented to him by president Gyani Jail Singh.

The prestigious University of Tibet bestowed on him, the degree of D. Lit. It was given by Dalai Lama in Jain Vishva Bharati on 14th June, 1993 at Ladnun, Rajasthan.

Recognizing his work done in the field of National Unity, Acharya Shree Tulsi was honored with the Indira Gandhi National Unity Award on 31st October, 1993 in New Delhi by Prime Minister P.V. Narsimha Rao.

When he relinquished the post of Acharya, he was again honored with the title of 'Ganadhipati' by Acharya Mahapragya on 18th February 1994 at Sujangarh, Rajasthan.

Acharya Shree was highly respected and awarded by Maharana Mewar Foundation with the Hakim Sur Khan award on July 24th, 1995.

Such a peerless personality cannot be measured only by these awards; instead the award itself gets rewarded getting connected with such souls. He never worked for achieving high status or to be celebrated, but these accolades came upon him for rendering such selfless and tremendous services.
