Quick Facts
  1. 350.org is an international campaign dedicated to creating a fair global climate treaty that lowers carbon dioxide below 350 parts per million.

  2. 350 is the number that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide--measured in "Parts per Million" in our atmosphere. 350 ppm--it's the number humanity needs to get back below as soon as possible to avoid runaway climate change.

  3. 350.org is coordinating an international day of action on October 24, 2009 at hundreds of iconic places around the world - from the Taj Mahal to the Great Barrier Reef - in order to spark a global movement that will unite the public, media, and political leaders behind the 350 goal.

  4. 350.org was launched in March 2008 by author and environmentalist Bill McKibben and a team of young organizers from around the world.

  5. Our work is only possible because of our network of friends and allies from around the world, including major international NGOs and local, grassroots organizations.
