Dhikkāra

A type of ancient Daṇḍanīti (penal code or policy);

a clause, in which the criminal was administered punishment in the form of opprobrium, such as-"Shame on you!".

dhigadhikṣepārtha eva tasya karaṇam-uccāraṇaṃ dhikkāraḥ.
