  • Karuna has arrived at JVB University and German Language Course hast started.
  • JVB University, Ladnun, needs sponsors for technical updates:
    • Telefoneexchange seems still to be done by hand.
    • Guesthouses have no telephone and no internet connection.
On weekend you are totally cut off from the world.
    • The availab le internet connection has small bandwidth only.
      • A skype call is not possible. Datatransfer is 30 minutes for 3 Mb.

Web 2.0 is an expression for community building connectivity. It is acceptable that there are limitations everwhere and bigger problems to solve, but this university is a miracle, first Jain university, in the middle of nowhere (desert Thar), flowering in all facettes...

  • THERE IS SO MUCH MONEY AROUND.... no more new bhavans!
  • TERAPANTHI - UPDATE OUR UNIVERSITY !
    telefon/web technology.

Thank you.

  • Karuna reported by phone: JVBI is cut off from satellite.
So we received and receive no news at the moment.Technicians in Ladnun held conference with satellite company.
The good thing is, we know now what JVB university needs: More bandwidth on satellite to improve communication quality.

Anybody there to check the links and glossary terms used in these chapters?
    And add those still misssing?
It would be a great help.

Jainism, traditionally known as Jain Dharma (???????), is one of the oldest religions in the world. It is a religion and philosophy originating in Ancient India. The Jains follow the teachings of the 24 Jinas (conquerors) who are also known as Tirthankaras. The 24th Tirthankara, Lord Mahavira lived in ca. 6th century BC. One of the main characteristics of Jain belief is the emphasis on the immediate consequences of one's behavior. To know more about Jainism, please visit this web-page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jainism. 02.10.2007 Ahimsa Day
....Ahimsa starts by getting aware of our thoughts, to recognise negative thoughts, and to grant no space to them in our life. This means to let them pass immediately, and not letting manifest them in our speech and action. Human beings are the only living beings having the chance to get aware of their actions directed by instincts and impulses, e.g. negative reactions, and to take the decision not acting according to them, if they only recognise that the big potential of realising the Self lies in turning the back to them....
