Mahavira's Scripture Of Health: [11.11] Prekshadhyana And Health - Learning to Observe Feelings

Published: 27.07.2007

The fourth thing is to learn observing our feelings. We must be alert about the feelings that arise in us. The most important thing is to observe the feeling as it arises. If there is the feeling of anger, we should immediately 'see' it. The anger would not proceed further. This means that we must 'see' the cause of our anger. Then anger would not grow. Anger would subside at that very point. If there is the feeling of conceit, 'see' it immediately and find out the source of that feeling. All centres of feelings are in a fixed place in our brain. All the feelings arising in us have their fixed centres in our brain. Let us concentrate all our attention on the manifestation of any instinctive desire and feeling the moment you experience them and start 'seeing' them. The illness would not grow.
