Mantra Diksha programs are being organized all over India by (TYP) Terapanth Yuvak Parishad under the guidance of his holiness Acharya Mahashraman Ji. This program is very beneficial for the overall development of character and values of children.

Mantra generally means remedy or solution to problem. It is said that every alphabet, every word can become mantra if someone makes combination accordingly. Here we’re talking about the solution to the problem of pollution of character. We need Mantra Diksha to create a society with strong moral character. There are various Mantras popular in various traditions. Mantra we can also say is a pious resolution.

Jain tradition famous mantra is Namaskar Mahamantra. It consist all ideals with highest moral values. Choosing a perfect ideal increase the chances of success. It is highly recommended that children are taught to recite this mantra daily from the very beginning. The education starts when child is in the womb. Children keep on learning something from whatever they observe. So it is our duty to guide them.

Mantra has potentially many powers. But we need to charge it to use its powers. Repeated recitation, firm determination, pious intentions charge the mantra and thus it becomes powerful.

Modern era is of technology and gadgets. From beginning children start using gadgets which is appreciable regarding their developing talent. They need the guidance that misuse of anything becomes a problem. Mantra is a remedy which when charged guides us whole our life. It enhances our personality, health and behavior.

So there are some four minimum mantra for children 5 to 9 years of age:

  1. I will daily recite Namaskar Mahamantra min 27 times. OM Bhikshu is also a powerful mantra.
  2. I will keep away from Meat, Eggs and all types of drugs like wine, tobacco products etc.
  3. I will be obedient and respectful to my parents, teachers and guru.
  4. I will always be polite. I will never use abusive or rude language.
