OUR AIMS:
- To teach Jain religion to our children and adults to help them make difficult decisions between "right" and "wrong" or when challenged by peer pressure.
- To teach Jain values relevant to today's society to our children.
- To train students, graduated from the School, to teach as youth teachers.
WHO IS THE SCHOOL FOR AND HOW IS IT RUN?
- The School is run on Friday evenings and run free of charge
- Children are divided into classes by age, from 5-16 years old
- All the teaching is in English delivered by highly trained and dedicated teachers
- Each class has a syllabus which is progressive from year to year
- Teaching is varied, using lectures, stories, games, plays, workshops, debates and discussions
- We encourage children to discuss and debate to crystallise their understanding of our religion
- End of term assemblies showcase the talents of the children
