TPF Raipur organized a programme on “How to increase the work efficiency” in the eminent presence of Samni Madhur Pragyaji on 7th September, 2013 at Amolak Bhawan, Sadar Bazar, Raipur, Chhattisgarh at 7.30 P.M.

The programme started with “Arhat Vandana”. Mr. Surendra Choraria, the Coordinator of TPF Raipur Branch welcomed all the members and after that the dais was handed over to Mrs Ritu Choraria, President of TPF, Raipur Branch who briefly explained the members about the importance of topic.

Samni Madhur Pragyaji enlighten the gathering that sometimes people begin a piece of work, give it up half way and start doing something else and so on. For lack of concentration people failed to achieve success. It is necessary to get absorbed in whatever one has undertaken to do and being so devoted to it that nothing else may enter the mind while the work is being executed. Work losses are largely caused by the deflation of the mind. Mental unsteadiness is a common problem. It results in an activity being completed in four times as much time as it should have taken. Concentration needs practice of breathing in right manner. Systematic practice of breathing can develop concentration. How can the fickle mind be steadied with practice and concentration be developed?

She also through giving examples said that a young man was studying in the University of Bombay. But he left the university and started doing business. Some years later, he felt like going in for higher studies. He registered himself again for the association Secretary course of University. But he felt that since he was resuming his studies after many years, it would be better to attend a Preksha dhyan camp before starting the studies. He joined the camp and learnt to practice concentration as a result of which he got first rank in the university. He felt that his success was due to concentration and blessings. Breathing acts as a bridge between body and consciousness. Breath is the invigorating element of the body that keeps it active and running. If we work with concentration then we achieve 80% productivity, without concentration we achieve 20% productivity. One of the objectives of the rightful breathing is to improve concentration and alertness. It is believed that rapid breathing is often harmful to health and may disturb the blood circulation. Generally majority of us don’t breath to the full capacity of our lungs. Incomplete breathing leads to insufficient supply of oxygen to the metabolizing cells that in turn affects working efficiency of the body. In contrast long breathing makes the body energized. Long breathing helps in keeping the brain active and responsive which has three times higher demand for oxygen as compared to rest of the body.
During the perception of the breathing all the three sets of muscles (inter costal, diaphragm, and clavicle) work in rhythmic fashion to facilitate complete breathing. During the process of correct breathing the air enters the lungs as a continuous flow without panting.

The time taken for exhalation should exceed that of inhalation time. Extended exhalation ensures removal of carbon dioxide from the lungs, thereby alleviates stress and fatigue. Regular perception of breathing alleviates negative traits such as ego, anger and greed and improves working efficiency of the mind and the body. It also enhances mental concentration and provides peace of mind. If we practice long breathing daily for 20 minutes than our lives will be filled with energy vigor and enthusiasm.

Breathing can bring about substantial changes in our life because breath remains connected and control the working and harmony of both nervous system. It establishes control and balance of emotions. It alleviates restlessness and anxiety and provides peace to mind. It sharpens reasoning skills and memory power. There are people who have increased their proficiency through breathing and perception of psychic centers. It automatically increases concentration. One of its outcomes was availability of increased spare time. There are a numbers of obstructions in the way of our accomplishing a task. Memory, imagination, inner emotions like anger etc. act an impediment and the task remains incomplete. For proficient working we should practice pure concentration.

The programme had a query session at the end. The members placed their inquisition related to various obstacles they face in their busy professional life before all the members and had a satisfactory solution which they ought to adopt in their life. The programme ended with mangal path.
