Start of SCVP Children and Adult Classes

SCVP Jain School, run by Veerayatan UK, starts the new academic year on Friday 13 September when we will have open registration for new and existing children and adult class members. We would ask that all parents of children attend on this day for the registration to be completed. We are honoured to have the presence of Pravinbhai Shah on this first day of school. Pravinbhai is the chair of the JAINA Education Committee and the Jain e-library project, and a great ambassador of Jainism worldwide through his incisive analysis of current day issues facing the Jain community and answering difficult questions that people have.
Please help us to complete the registration process smoothly by printing and completing the attached forms for children and adults and bringing it with you on the first day of School on Friday 13 September. Please also tell all your family and friends about SCVP and encourage them to join you for the start of School and every Friday!

Jain Heritage and History - Adult Foundation Course

A short course forming part of the Adult Foundation Course run by SCVP which will focus on the Jain history pre and post Mahavir, including the historical spread of the religion, its proponents, including literary, scientific, archaelogical and philosophical evidence, the importance of Jain scriptures and the reasons for sects and schisms.
The course will be delivered by a panel of expert teachers, (mostly in English) some of whom with PhD and MA in Jain studies.
