Please help us to complete the registration process smoothly by printing and completing the attached forms for children and adults and bringing it with you on the first day of School on Friday 13 September. Please also tell all your family and friends about SCVP and encourage them to join you for the start of School and every Friday!

English Pratikraman during Paryushan

SCVP is pleased to inform that this year during Paryushan we have organized Pratikraman for all 8 days, with sutras being recited in English as well as the original language. The aim is for people, both young and old, to understand the process and essence of this most important of all Jain festivals. This will include meditation and the reading of Kalpasutra in English. Children and adults both welcome. We have limited space so please register your interest early.

Jain Heritage and History - Adult Foundation Course

A short course forming part of the Adult Foundation Course run by SCVP which will focus on the Jain history pre and post Mahavir, including the historical spread of the religion, its proponents, including literary. scientific, archaelogical and philosophical evidence, the importance of Jain scriptures and the reasons for sects and schisms.

The course will be delivered by a panel of expert teachers, (mostly in English) some of whom with PhD and MA in Jain studies.
