We voluntarily concentrated our attention on more beautiful subjects after this somewhat sad part of our round tour. At the entrance of the Lodurva Amar Sagar Jain Temple situated at the equally named lake we experienced a nice surprise.

Gatekeeper at Amar Sagar Jain Temple

When the gatekeeper of the temple saw us, he immediately asked us where we were from. We not only told him that we came from Germany, but that we are followers of Jain Dharma as well. Hardly given the information, he continued, “Can you recite Namokar Mantra?” After both of us had started to recite Maha Mantra, he beamed with joy and gave us a big hug. “Welcome friends, come in. You are at home here.” And refused to take entry fee from us. The temple by the way belongs to the property of the private owners of Patwa Haveli.

The temple is situated in a well-maintained park-like area

With these beautiful impressions we asked the driver to take us back to the hotel. There we took rest after the meal. We thought to complete this remarkable day with a magnificent sunrise and therefore planned to climb up Suri Dungar again.
