AICC Gen Sec- Janardan Dwivedi has said that our country has always followed and maintained the philosophy of tolerance and non-violence, giving due respect to diversity in multicultural world. It is our responsibility to maintain this heritage and hand-over a peaceful, healthy and prosperous future to our next generation.

He was addressing an all India SS Jain Conference Youth Wing Delhi organized an all religion conference on Role of Non-violence in World peace and Environment conservation.

The conference was aimed at bringing thinkers and scholars from different part of the country representing different societies to congregate and discuss over ways to maintain world peace and conserve environment.

On the occasion, speakers said that Mahavir's philosophy of non-violence is not limited up to control on violence but to spread love and compassion for the smallest creature. He considered non-violence as epicenter of world religion. His messages are more relevant today when the world is engrossed in violence and terrorism. Today, even the world powers have started realizing that the existence is possible through non-violence not by adopting violent methods.

The program was presided over by Avinash Chopdiya Jain- National President, All India SS Jain Conference while inaugural speech was delivered by Mahendra Singhi, a distinguished social activist from Hubli, Karnataka.
