On July 26, 2012, Gurudev Chitrabhanu, who generously funded the majority of the Jain conference on Bioethics, celebrated his 90th birthday. After giving up his life as a monk in India, Chitrabahnu, came to the U.S. to support the growing Jain communities in North America, started a renowned center of Jain Meditation, and worked tirelessly to spread the Jain message of compassionate action and insight.
