Jai Jinendra,
On behalf of all the trustees and friends of Veerayatan UK, members of the SCVP Committee and all teachers of SCVP, we hope you had a spiritually fulfilling Paryushan and we humbly and sincerely ask for forgiveness from you if we have hurt you, knowingly or unknowingly, by action, word or thought. Michammi Dukkadam.
The new term at SCVP starts this Friday, 9 September and this year promises to be even more exciting than the past year, building upon the success of the events we have run over the summer months:
- the first ever SCVP Jain Summer Camp which took place in early August in the presence of Sadhvi Shri Shilapiji Maharaj with 76 children attending two days of events emphasising Jain values and philosophy with the theme of Chalo, Lets Walk with Mahavir Bhagwan and with 37 children staying overnight
- a series of three lectures by Sadhvi Shri Shilpaiji Maharaj with musical accompaniment on the theme of Connecting to Your Source
- a two day adult shibir on how to achieve Blissful Living
- two days of teaching over Paryushan at Navnat Centre focussing on Paryushan and the message of Mahavir Bhagwan
This Friday we will be registering everyone and would ask that you arrive by 7.45 pm and bring with you a completed application form for your child and for your self if you will be attending the adult class, which we would strongly advise you to do to learn about our beautiful religion. Copies of the registration forms are attached and completing these will help us speed up administration on the first day and ensure we have your contact details to keep you up to date with school activities and events. Details of the term dates for this term and our aims are set out below. From 16 September we will be running the optional Sutra Class between 7.30 and 8.00pm.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to the School.
On behalf of SCVP Committee.
