23rd All India Summer School 2011 on Prakrit Language & Literature

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following 23rd All India Summer Schools on Prakrit Language and Literature courses:

1. Prakrit Language & Literature (Elementary Course)

ELIGIBILITY:
  1. ELEMENTARY COURSE:
    Minimum high Second Class Post Graduate Degree in Sanskrit/Prakrit/Pali language for Elementary Course. The Students appearing in the Final Examinations of PG may also apply but their passing marks sheet must be submitted after the declaration of the result.

  2. ADVANCED COURSE:
    The candidates having passed the Elementary Course conducted by BLII are eligible for admission in Advanced Course on the basis of Merit & subject to the availability of seats.
DESIRABLE:

Participants must be able to read and write Devanagari Script and must have a good working knowledge of both Hindi and English Languages.

APPLICATION FEE:

Enclose a draft of Rs.100/- (Rs. One hundred only) as application fee (Non Refundable) in favour of "B. L. Institute of Indology" with your duly filled application.

GENERAL:
  1. Medium of instructions will be Hindi & English.
  2. Preference will be given to Research Scholars/Teaching faculty members in the above subjects.
  3. Photocopies of Certificates/Degrees should be enclosed with the application form.
  4. Incomplete application forms will be rejected prima-facie immediately.
  5. No participant will remain absent from his/her daily lectures, and weekly tests or final test etc; and must obtain a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. Participants, who do not fulfill these conditions and other rules and regulations of the Institute, will not be eligible to claim Railway or Bus fare. &
  6. The Institute will not foot the medical bills of any participant, in case of such need.
SCHEDULE OF LECTURES:

Two sessions of three hours each from 09.30 A.M. to 06.00 P.M.

PERIODICAL TESTS:

Respective teachers will conduct topic-wise tests after each 5 lectures by the end of the week. Final tests, including viva-voce, will be held on last Friday and Saturday. However, any change in the schedule of tests without any prior notice.

FACILITIES OFFERED:
  1. Free lodging and boarding for the duration of the course.
  2. Travel: 2nd Class Railway Fare or Ordinary Bus Fare by the shortest route, subject to the production of relevant ticket number(s)/cash receipts. In case of local participants, a sum of Rs. 500/- only will be provided for the entire course to meet their local expenses.
TEST CERTIFICATES:
Will be awarded to the participants on completion of the course and having passed all the oral and written tests.
