Friends,

I will like to share with you that Prof. Jeffery Long, Professor of Religion and Asian Studies, and Chair of the Dept. of Religious studies   at Elizabethtown College, in Elizabethtown, PA has agreed to be a guest faculty at ISSJS 2011 in India.

Professor Long will be teaching ISSJS classes in 2011 in India

In previous years, Professors Anne Vallely (Univ of Ottawa, Canada), Christopher Chapple (Loyola Marymount Univ, L.A),  Padmanabh S. Jaini (University, Of California, Berkeley) and Dipak Jain (Kellogg’s School of Business, Chicago)  have gone to India to teach ISSJS classes.

ISJS is very happy and looking forward to welcoming Pro. Long to India next year.

Prof. Long has recently  written an excellent College level  book on Jainism  (see attachment). His PhD thesis at University of Chicago was on Anekantavada.

ISJS thanks Prof. Christopher Chapple for inviting  and encouraging Prof. Long to ISSJS 2011
