| 95000 web pages, 9000 images, 700 hours of Audio and Video, 20 languages, 150 books, 62000+ hits per day, visits from 143 countries, 550 Man Years of work, just to name a few. |
As we celebrate the first...3 Years... of Mission*24L* and 9 years of http://www.jainworld.com/ around the globe, it remains the best time to review the progress and future plans for this unique movement which will have greatest impact on the way Jainism will be perceived globally in the days to come.
Solid progress on the Mission*24L* front is continuing throughout the world due to the hard work of several Jainworld teams in developing, reviewing, and loading the contents in various languages. It is not a small task considering 500+ people involved in various countries across the globe handling diverse functions like administrative, technical, translation, selection of material, arranging finance, arranging infrastructure, web design, legal matters, PR, & so on.
Here's a summary of achievements over the past 3 years:
Jainworld is now a truly global site visited from 143 countries and more than 62,000+ hits per day. From1997, JainWorld has been working relentlessly to create a global identity for Jainism as independent, unique religion and it's great value system and to create a new awareness about the unique principals of Jainism by making core values of Jainism accessible to all, all the time.
| Chinese: | 400 pages are posted. Work is progressing. |
| Czech: | 100 pages are posted. Work is progressing. |
| English: | Several new books, Pictures, Audio, Video etc added. |
| French: | Native French speaking people have dedicated themselves for this work. More than 1550 pages have been translated, checked, corrected and uploaded on web. |
| German: | 550 pages are uploaded. Teams are being regrouped to take up more work. |
| Italian: | Under the leadership of famous pop star, complete Saman Suttam and other material of 500 pages is posted. |
| Korean: | 100 pages are posted. Work is progressing. |
| Russian: | 600 pages with two complete book and many lessons have been translated, checked, corrected and approved for putting on web. |
| Spanish: | More than 1800 pages have been put on the web. Some books are in the pipe line. |
| Serbian: | 700 pages of new material is being added regularly. Prominent Serbian scholar is working on this. |
| Siam: | 200 pages are uploaded and new material is being developed. |
| Assamese: | 100 pages are loaded onto the web and new material is being added. |
| Bengali: | 700 pages are loaded onto the web. Work on this language is progressing and new material is being added. |
| Gujarati: | 300 are loaded onto the web. Work on this language is progressing and new material is being added. |
| Hindi: | More than 3600 pages worth of material is released by way of 27 books. Work is progressing on several other books. |
| Kannada: | 2000 pages are loaded onto the web. Prominent scholars from Karnataka are spearheading the efforts. |
| Marathi: | More than 4000 pages worth of material is released by way of 26 books. Videos and audio material. |
| Oriya: | 1800 pages, several pictures, Shilalekh etc are loaded onto the web. |
| Prakrut: | 1100 are loaded onto the web. 5000 pages of new material is being added. |
| Tamil: | 2000 pages worth of material and audio is already released. Work is progressing and new material is being developed. |
| Work on many more languages like Arabic, Japanese, Portuguese, Punjabi, Telugu, Urdu etc. is planned during the next few months along with enhancement of existing language editions. |
