SOUTH HOWRAH: 9th January, 2010:

The learned disciple of H.H. Acharyashri Mahapragyaji, Sadhvishri Kanakshriji arrived at the South Howrah Terapanth Bhawan alongwith the Sadhvi group  today. The grand procession of the Sadhvis arrived from the Chintamani Dey Road. On this event, Terapanth Mahila Mandal organized a female protection rally. Opposing female foeticide, thousands of girls and women voiced their opinion that protection of women is protection of society. Development of women is development of society and nation.

After reaching the Terapanth Bhawan the welcome procession became the Dharma Parishad. Addressing the Dharma Parishad, Sadhvishri Kanakshriji said - the work of religion is to eradicate sin from society and inspire good deeds. The attraction of masses towards the saint reunions is because of just one reason - they educate on how to live life and also direct the path of peace and happiness. Enlightening the importance of Satsang she said - by following the path shown by saints, even a sinner, an indecent and a malicious person can transform into a gentleman. A gentleman learns the way of a peaceful life. The one, who learns how to lead a peaceful life, liberates from the shackles of attachments and can also lead others in the same path. Sadhvishri said - people are of two kinds - religion lover and religion engrossed. Transformations in habits and behaviour are possible with belief in religion.

Corrections should be made by transforming the heart and not through fear and greed. In the rule of religion, changes are permanent. In the rule of law, there is fear and greed. Thus, changes are not permanent. Sadhvi Madhulekha ji put forth her thoughts.

Prior to this under the guidance of Smt. Pushpa Kundalia, the women  of Mahila Mandal sang an emotional song welcoming Sadhvishri. Shri Janwarimal Nahata, president of South Howrah Terapanthi Sabha and Smt. Sukhmal Shyamsukha, president of Mahila Mandal (South Howrah) gave the welcome speech. Shri Mahendra Kocher, secretary compered  the programme.
