Equality, One Objective And One Direction -The Basis Of The Development Of The Sangh

A special seminar was conducted at the Oswal Bhawan by the Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, Kolkata under the guidance of Sadhvishri Kanakshriji, learned disciple of Yugpradhan Acharya Shri Mahapragyaji on the 8th day of November, 2009.

The event was initiated by a chorus song presented by Shri Surendra Choraria and his team. Expressing her thoughts on the topic “Dharmasangh and our responsibilities” she said - a united group of people with unified objectives constitute an organization. A united group directed towards development of consciousness and religious and spiritual progress constitutes a Dharmasangh. Like protection of body and protection of house is the basis for the protection of self and life likewise, protection of Dharmasangh is protection of humane and spiritual values.

Sadhvishri said that ‘Terapanth’ is a Dharmasangh. The progress and widespread acknowledgement that the Sangh has achieved in 250 years is due to the equality, unity of objectives and direction. Giving society responsibility, Sadhvishri said - maintaining purity of your character, channelise your efforts in a disciplined and dedicated manner for the development of the Sangh. Development of service, support, reciprocation and religious affection are the strong pillars of the Sangh.

Sadhvishri Madhulataji in her speech said - ‘before understanding the responsibilities of the Sangh one must understand his individual responsibility. Shravak should never do something that will dent the Jain discipline and the pride of the Dharmaguru. Develop your abilities and capabilities. Skilled people make the organization skillful and strong. Shri Rajkaran Sirohia, ex-president of Terapanthi Mahasabha and Shri Ratan Dugar, ex-president of Abhateyup addressed the seminar as special. Shri Tilokchand Baid, president of North Central Kolkata expressed his views. Shri Ruglal Surana, secretary of Oswal Navyuvak Samiti remembered Shri Shrichandji Rampuria, founder of the Samiti; Lt. Gopichandji Chopra; Chhogmalji Chopra, socialite and Mohanlalji Banthia as the lifeline of the Samiti. He also briefly discussed the workings of the Samiti and expressed his gratitude on the arrival of Sadhvishri Kanakshriji. Shri Dilip Marothi, president of Teyup, Kolkata gave the introduction speech and Shri Rohit Bothra expressed his gratitude. On this event, Shri Tulsi Kumar Dugar, Shri Ratan Dugar and Shri Kamal Kumar Dugar were honoured for being chosen as the associate president and advosors. Also Shri Jagat Choraria, Shri Pankaj Dudhoria, Shri Sunil Dugar and Shri Basant Patwari were honoured for being elected at special posts. Ms. Sneha Dugar (daughter of Dr. Raj Kumar Jain, child specialist, native resident of Malsisar (Jhunjhunun, Rajasthan) and resident of South Howrah) was the runner-up of the talent Hunt Competition organised by Abhateyup. Shri Jaideep Dugar, secretary managed the event.
