"Prakrit Language - An Ancient Prosperous Tradition" is a Documentary film on ‘PRAKRIT LANGUAGE’ which is the most ancient language of India. That time the Communication medium in between common people, was Prakrit language. Many of the manuscripts and rock-inscription wrote in Prakrit language by Saints and scholars. For the protection and preservation of those ancient heritage and to procure ‘Prakrit Language’ in more beautiful way Jagadguru Karmayogi Swasthi Shree Charukeerthi Bhattarak Swami Ji gave colours to his imagination by bringing up the ‘NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF PRAKRIT STUDIES & RESEARCH’ situated in Karnataka province of Sravanabelagola in Dhawalateetham. In Karnataka, Sravanabelagola is the place where is situated 57 feet high the BHAGWAAN GOMMATESHWARA BAHUBALI'S highest monolith of the world. Sravanabelagola has a special place in the religious history of India. It is an unparalleled place of pilgrimage of the Jain culture and religion whose tales of great deeds have been narrated so vividly on the hundred of ancient petrigraphs found here. It is rare to find such a religious centre where the history of more than thirteen thousand (13,000) years has been kept alive in the indelible pages of the epigraphs available here. The History of 2,300 years available on 700 petrigraphs in Prakrit & Sanskrit language found in Sravanabelagola in kannad script is a silent testimony even today to magnificent heritage of Indian Sramana Culture.
