Prayer of Forgiveness and Reconciliation at UPF

On 4th October 2009, Samani Prasanna Pragya and Samani Rohit Pragya were invited by Universal Peace Federation Community Cohesion Working Group to present a Jain prayer of Forgiveness and Reconciliation. The event, organised at Friends Meeting House, was attended by around 150 people. Representatives of various religions spoke as well as did chanting on the subject ‘Forgiveness and Reconciliation’ from the perspective of their religion. On behalf of Jainism Dr, Natubhai Shah spoke on the topic and the Samanijis recited verses of Forgiveness and Reconciliation. Speeches and chanting were followed by the interfaith water ceremony in which, with the glass of water in their hands, representatives of the all religions came on the stage one by one and pour the water of glass into a big bowl, reciting the words of reconciliation.

 After the break, in the second part of the programme skit, poetries, Dance and Finale song were presented by youths and other artists on the same theme.  Margreat and Robin Mars, the organisers of the event paid gratitude towards Samanijis for presenting Jain Chanting.
