It helps you organising ourself and live a life with full satisfaction coupled with Tap-Jap-Dhyan i.e. fasting, chanting and meditating. It helps in building our inner power to face the challenges of greediness, materialism, attraction, deceitfulness etc. The paryushan parva will last for eight days. Each day would be dedicated to a specific theme.

The first day of the religious festival is celebrated as “Khadya Sanyam Divas” i.e. a day dedicated to observe our diet. It is well said that “Eat Less Live longer”. On this occasion of paryushan, let us practice the habit of eating less. It will lead to better health and also helps in karma-nirjra.
