Pratishtha Mahotsav in Zanzibar

The first ever Jain temple to be built outside India was in Zanzibar, an island off the cost of Tanzania many decades ago. That temple known as the Shri Zanzibar Katcchi Jain Temple has now been renovated and Pratishtha Mahotsav will be held on the over the three day Easter Holidays, 10th, 11th and 12th April.


Pratimajis Ready to be moved to the Garbh Gruh

Moolnayak in the temple will be Bhagwan Parasnath and his murti will be flanked by those of Mahavir Bhagwan on the right and Shantinath Bhagwan on the left.

Dar-es-salaam Jain Sangha has given an open invitation to all Jains to attend the pratishtha. The Sangha will also provide transport to and from Zanzibar and have undertaken to provide all the catering facilities during the festival.
