The Empire Of Greed

Man needs money to live. Without money living becomes rather difficult. Monks live their life without money. They do not think asking for alms are beneath their dignity. It is part of their penance. But for householders this is not right. They need to earn money for their livelihood. Earning money should be done in the correct way. One should not steal or take bribe. One should not exploit others. When the ends are noble, the means should also be noble. This should be kept in mind constantly while earning money.-Money acquired by wrong means and will just brings unhappiness. Money earned should be kept with detachment.

Once there was a businessman. The businessman owned a variety of cloth in his shop. One night the businessman dreamt that avillager came to his store one day. The businessman thought that since the villager was stupid he could trick him. So he was took the money and cut less cloth. As he was cutting the cloth, he heard a ripping sound. As soon as he heard the sound he was startled. Oh what was that sound? What? Where? Even as he looked around, he found he had picked up his own garment and cut it.

It is said that even when the body is infirm, the hairs are white, the teeth are gone and he needs a stick to support him as he walks, a man does not give up desire.
