H.H. Acharya Shri Mahaprajna, a living legend of Jain philosophy, whose spiritual influence is felt around the globe, will bless the seminar and the session indirectly. His Holiness has not only presented a new paradigm of Jain philosophy in its true sense but also working hard for the welfare of humanity.

This is the time when every branch of knowledge has to take a new turn. Knowledge must not provide mere information but must present solution to the problems of life. Philosophy also must not be based on mere metaphysical or linguistic analysis but must provide the deeper solutions to the problems of the world. There must not be any huge gap between the cognitive and living aspects of the life.

The round-table session is organized with a view to seek some new solutions through the ancient heritage of Jainism to the problems of the world of today and tomorrow. "nanassa saramayaro" i.e. the essence of knowledge is conduct' keeping this significant teaching of Lord Mahavira in view the scholars have to present a new paradigm of Jain philosophy which can show the path of prosperous, peaceful, harmonious and sustainable development to mankind and, which can fulfil the dream of balanced personality.

The session will be of approximately two hours. The selected speakers would present their papers. Each speaker would get 10 minutes to present the gist of his/her innovative ideas and 5 minutes for the discussion on the topic presented. While considering the new paradigm of philosophy from Jain perspective the following areas are to be covered up by the speakers:

  1. New model for individual and collective life
  2. New model for social organization
  3. New model for scientific and technological policies.
  4. New model for environmental protection
