Jain Vishva Bharati University (JVBU) along with their parent body Jain Vishva Bharati (JVB) have awarded ISO certification.

Jain Vishva Bharati was founded by Acharya Tulsi in the year 1970 with a basic aim of creating a center of higher learning with special emphasis on advanced studies in Jainology and other oriental studies. It is universally known that the Jain doctrine of anekantvad (non-absolutism) rejects divisions among human beings in the name of caste, creed, colour, race and religion. It advocates unity in diversity in keeping with the spirit embodied in the ideals of universal brotherhood, non-violence, love and religious tolerance. It aims at transforming people into awakened citizens, free from the narrow prejudices by the means of a series of novel educational experiments like Preksha Meditation, Jivan Vigyan and Training in Non-violence.

Jain Vishva Bharati University was established in 1991 and was accorded with the status of a "Deemed to be University" by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 3 of the U.G.C. Act of 1956, in 1991 on the recommendation of the Government of India. The mission of the JVBU is to integrate modern science with ancient wisdom of the great spiritual practitioners and visionary seers. The institution seeks to interweave moral and spiritual norms and values with the materialistic and economic fibers of mankind to foster and develop universal human relationships for the peaceful coexistence of individuals, groups, communities, sects, races, religions and nations. The great saint and visionery Acharya Tulsi was the founder Anushasta of the JVBU and his successor Acharya Mahaprajna is the present one.
