We had 2 stops on the 400 km road to Ladnun. Everything went easy. The countryside, the traffic on the roads, the people in the towns we passed, all this was of high interest for us visitors of Incredible India.... time passed by - the trip was entertaining as a whole.
 | Lunch just beside the road with excellent vegetarian food |
 | and dinner at a restaurant in the city of Jhunjhunu. |
 | The streets in Rajasthan became smaller and smaller... |
 | ... and the country more and more dry. |
 | We crossed the tracks of the local railway to Ladnun... |
 | ... where 3rd class waggons are used with open windows and a sandy atmosphere inside, we were told with a smile. |
 | Our first peacock we discovered on the campus of JVB Ladnun, where we finally arrived in the afternoon of the 14.01.2005 after crossing the city via hundreds of small streets filled with people |
 | Peace we realized immediatly after passing the gates of Jain Vishva Bharati Ladnun. It has the atmosphere of a small paradies, an area designed as a beautiful garden with clean streets and buildings at the outskirts of Ladnun town in the deserts of Rajasthan, a more than 2000 years old place with recorded history and historical references going back up to may be 7000 years, as stated by Muni Shri Shagermalji, who has done research on history of human settlement in and around Ladnun. |
 | Acharya Bhikshu - founder acharya of Terapanth - visited Ladnun some 225 years ago. Renowned German scholar Dr Herman Jacobi visited Ladnun some 91 year ago for darshan of 8th acharya of terapanth - Acharyashri Kalugani. (Germany and terapanth a long history of association with each other). |
 | We entered the former JVB Institute (Deemed University) building, where the 3rd International Preksha Meditation Camp [IPMC] was held, for registration. |
 | We met Siddharth Bothra in charge like he was for the 2nd IPMC... |
 | ...as well as Lalith Dugar, brother of Muni Shri Kumar Shraman and 2 Sadhvishris, when we arrived. Siddharth Bothra and Lalith Dugar are members of the 3rd IMPC organizing committee which played a great role in running the camp with all it's 120 participants. |
 | As our rooms in the Tulsi Adhyatma Nidam for the next 40 days were not yet ready [renovation was in progress], we spent the first day in the Shubham Guesthouse and relaxed from the trip. |
 | Meanwhile more and more participants arrived. Karuna said hallo to friends she met before when she visited JVB London for Paryushan in 2004. |
