At the time of Soviet Union these were very important positions. At the same time he started his studies of cosmoenergetics at Tahir Saliev's institute in Tashkent where he was working. Ignatenko and Petrov were his masters as well.

He got into touch with Indian culture when he was a student. His aunt and her husband were working as interpreters in India where he was allowed to visit them three times. It was there, where he first started to be interested in esoteric Indian healing methods. Since 1997 he is living in Moscow where he founded his 'Institute of psychology and cosmoenergetics -Emil Bagirov's school'. In 2003 he gave a demonstration of cosmoenergetics to the participants of 2nd IPMC in Surat, Gujarat. The Samanis watching him explained that a similar method is practiced in India, called pranic healing.
