It is the age of education. Government wants that no citizen of the country should remain illiterate. Functionaries of social institutions are carrying out campaign for adult-education. It is inspired at family level also that the ensuing days will be controlled by those people who are properly educated. Considering education as pivotal substance to life, sincere efforts are being made to insert it into public-life. But along with the expansion of education, the deepening cultural crisis indicates that intellectual consciousness is flourishing on large scale, but spiritual consciousness is not developing to such extent that could be to next so many generations. It is even doubtful that two pairs transmitted of scales will not be the same.

Foolishness and non-sensibility is not the same thing. ‘Foolishness’ relates to undeveloped intellect whereas non- sensibility, relates to spiritual consciousness. Until the preventive elements (आवरक तत्व) of knowledge are active, it is not possible to eliminate foolishness. But even after detachment of preventive curtain, the person remains non-sensible. Even after four-fold knowledge and fourteen ancestors, person is diverted. Its reason is perversion germinated out of attachment and not the preventive curtain of knowledge.

Expansion of schools and universities is confirming the necessity of education, but the considerable point is up gradation of educational standard. Unless the standard of education is upgraded and inclined with cultural and moral values, education itself will remain as a problematic issue. Education cannot be life-oriented merely by bookish knowledge pouring into brain. Education is related with gentle habituations and life-style. Providing only information and narration through education is not sufficient. Exchange of thought and communication is necessary. Wherever and whenever student becomes aimless his aspirations for life are scattered.

Meaningful effect of education implies awareness, trust, commitment and conduct. If education is not the mode of cultivating discipline, patience, co-existence, conjugation, values of life, the living genre of education is questioned. Only that type of education can maintain its relevance, which cultivates the life- style in accordance with character-building of person and necessities of co-existent life.
