Navpadji Ayambil Oli - Oct 16 - 24, 2018.


Navapada Aradhana is associated with the Shripal-Mayanasundari legend.
Navapada Aradhana is performed by meditating on Navapada and doing an Ayambil.
In an ayambil, only one meal is eaten each day of boiled plain food without any spices, sugar, salt, oil, butter, milk, vegetables or fruits.

It is performed for nine days, twice a year. It is called Ayambil Oli. It falls in the months of Chaitra (March/April) and Ashwin (September/October).

This is one of the most auspicious religious festivals and is soon approaching from Tuesday, Oct 16, 2018 upto Wednesday, Oct 24, 2018

Program Schedule:
  • Daily: Oct 16 - Oct 24, 2018 - 9:30 AM - 11:30 Am - Vidhi in Derasar according to book or with guidance
  • Pachakhan/Ayambil 12:00 Noon - If you have Kansa thali/vatki bring it or JCSC will provide.
  • Navpadji Puja: Saturday, Oct 20, 2018 - 9:30 am onwards.

Sponsorship opportunities are as follows:
  • $101 for Snatrapuja $51 for Puja (Total of 9 available)
  • Asthprakari Puja, Aarti, Mangal Divo, Shanti Kalash- Ghee Boli

Grocery purchases, cooking, serving and cleaning for the entire Oli days will be done by volunteers.
We encourage all members to come forward and sponsor this auspicious occasion.
As per our policy, we shall try and accommodate as many sponsors as possible.
Partial Sponsorship with any amount. Irrespective of the day are most welcome, to sum up, the total sponsorship for Ayambil Oli.

JCSC Kids & Youth Bhakti & Puja Program - Nov 17, 2018

Calling all kids and youth to get involved in Prabhu (પ્રભુ) Bhakti in the temple. JCSC kids are invited to participate, perform and recite Prakshal, Ashtaprakari Puja and Chaityavandan. This is a “KIDS and YOUTH only” event. Other members will provide support only to the extent needed. Puja will be followed up by kids’ friendly food (provided by parent volunteers) and other activities for Puja participants.

When: Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 AM.

TCCOP & ACC Update

Tender Care Community Outreach Program (TCCOP) September 2018 update
ACC (Anekant Community Center)

Our efforts of serving the community is continuing with your gracious support. We added few more projects this year and had very good support from the community.

We are continuing our routine of serving weekly breakfasts and monthly dinners, providing groceries, and visiting lonely patients. Making sandwiches for homeless in down town LA and Santa Ana.

Wellness Challenge - Walk A Total Of 10 Miles

For the upcoming weekly challenge, we are challenging the participants to “Walk a Total of 10 Miles." We suggest pairing up with a walking buddy, because as research indicated that working out with a friend or family member not only makes fitness more enjoyable, but it also helps you stay on track and maintain your exercise goals. The Indo-American Foundation of Arizona is organizing an event of SiddhChakra Pujan and Jain Stavan Sandhya at The Ekta Mandir in Arizona.

Events:

  • Saturday, Nov 17, 2018: Jain Stavan Sandhya and Raas Garba at 6:00 PM onwards
  • Sunday, Nov 18, 2018: Siddhachakra Pujan by Shrenikbhai and Haria Brothers at 9:00 AM onwards


It is with great pleasure we announce that The Indo - American Foundation of Arizona has extended an invitation to Jain Center Of Southern California Sangh to visit their center on Sat - Sun, Nov 17 - 18, 2018 to participate in their events.

This invitation is open to all JCSC members of all ages.Boarding and lodging will be provided by the Foundation and other expenses including transportation will be provided by the sponsors from our JCSC community.

There will be no cost to the participants. However, JCSC members interested in joining Phoenix Yatra will require to register and pay a deposit of $50 per person - check payable to JCSC.

Your registration is not confirmed and your seat in the bus, including accommodation is not guaranteed until the deposit check is received in a timely manner from you.

The deposit check will be returned back to you if you come and board the bus or deposit will be NON - REFUNDABLE and NON - TRANSFERABLE for NO SHOW.

We plan to leave early morning of Saturday, November 17 by bus from JCSC for Phoenix Ekta Mandir and return late evening of Sunday, November 18.

Please hurry up and register ASAP in order for us make necessary arrangements.

All registered folks must make the deposit payment by 10/26/2018 to secure their seats on the bus

The last day to Register is October 31, 2018, however, we plan to take two buses with the maximum capacity of 108 people, therefore registration will be closed either after October 31 or after we have reached a full capacity of 108 people - whichever comes first
